" We had searched the internet for ages looking for the right music for our wedding when we came across G-Sounds. I dropped them an email with some vague requirements and received a response straight away with excellent suggestions of what we could do to make the day really special.
We decided to book the Cherie Gears band - a duet for the drinks receptions, a jazz trio for the meal and a great party band for the evening including a good DJ. The whole booking process was simple, smooth and stress free - just what every bride requires! We had absolute faith in Sam!! The band turned up and set up with no fuss - I didn't even know they had arrived until I heard the most amazing voice singing on the terrace. The band were with us the whole day - they looked great, sounded great, were very professional and whats more they were really nice people! Cherie sang our first dance song - which made it so much more personal and special.
All our guests commented on how fantastic the band were and were amazed they hadn't all been snapped up for a record deal! I would definitely recommend hiring the band through G-Sounds to anyone who is after some quality, classy and truly unique live music for an event. We will certainly keep them in mind for parties in the future. Thanks to you all - good luck and please remember us when you're a famous band making your millions!!!

If you are looking for a band who will make your special day complete, then I cannot recommend the Cherie Gears Band highly enough. Firstly, booking the band was very easy, the agency staff were friendly and efficient and answered all of our queries immediately. On the day itself, the band were also very friendly and flexible to our needs, willing to adjust the timing of their sets to suit our evening's requirements. They were also able to set-up and soundcheck quickly with absolutely no fuss. This was great, as there were hundreds of other things to think about, whereas this required no thought at all!
Musically, as a fussy back-seat musician, it was really important for me to find a high-quality band whom our guests would enjoy. And the Cherie Gears Band are not just a brilliant wedding band, but are an excellent band in their own right that I would unhesitatingly go to watch in concert. I have seen many professional and famous bands live and, in my mind, this band stand up alongside the best of them. Every member of the band is an accomplished musician, and together they provide an incredibly tight, funky and mouth-watering backing for the high-class voice of Cherie Gears. Her voice is incredible - she has remarkable control and range, and a rich sounding tone that lies somewhere between Corrine Bailey Rae and Gabrielle Climi.

My husband and I celebrated our Pearl wedding anniversary (30 years) in late March and were determined to make sure that it was an occasion to remember
Having booked the venue, a rather exclusive hotel in Derbyshire, the search began for the band. After some considerable research we made contact with G-Sounds. It was evident from our first conversation that they understood our desire to engage a band with exceptional musical talent and to put together a combination of music fitting such an occasion. Together we chose The Cherie Gears Band. The music was fantastic and the band performed each number with such enthusiasm and professionalism that all the guests were dancing 'til the point of exhaustion! All in all the night was marvellous and made so by the splendid performance of the band on this very special occasion. Shall I wait for my 40th anniversary before engaging them again? I doubt it! Not really knowing how to go about booking a live act for our wedding day, we sent an e-mail with vague details of what we were after and ten minutes later got a call from Sam saying it was all do-able, checking what our budget was and promising to get back to us as soon as possible with suggestions and a quote. This information was received the next day. Sam recommended the Cherie Gears Band and suggested we had a listen to them via the website. To put it bluntly, we were gobsmacked by the quality of the band and couldn't believe our luck that they were available. We booked there and then. The Yorkshire Strings: The Yorkshire Strings complemented our wedding day by playing a beautiful selection of classical music and helping to create a wonderful atmosphere.
Cherie Gears Jazz Quintet: The Cherie Gears Jazz Quintet played all the songs we requested to a fantastically high standard. We were married at our home and it was wonderful to have our first dance to one of our favourite songs live in our living room!
The Cherie Gears Band: A top quality band. They even learnt a couple of new songs for our wedding celebration. Everyone was full of praise for them and it had crossed our minds to kidnap them so they would have to play through until the morning!
Bespoke DJ set: The DJ was thoroughly briefed on the sort of music we wanted and played all the songs we listed and other songs which fitted the mood at the time. Very flexible and just what we wanted for filling the gaps between the live music.
