City Beats are a 6 piece band featuring two awesome female lead vocalists, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. The band are able to perform up to 5 x 45 minutes of live music 7 nights per week, offering a dynamic and varied show, from stripped down acoustic numbers, jazz, chilled out soul and country ballads to full party band songs to keep the dance-floor full late into the night!

The band has an incredible repertoire covering Jazz, Pop, Soul, Motown, Disco, Classic Rock, Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Ballroom and Indie from the 50s to the modern era. To view their current repertoire please click the box below - link will open in a new page.

Bandmember Biography


Samantha - Lead Vocals

Fronting the band is the sassy Samantha Rose. After completing her Bachelor Honours Degree in Performing Arts, Samantha moved to London for intensive vocal training at Tech Music School and since then has been involved in performing in a variety of projects as well as teaching.

She has been a lead vocalist on holiday parks, hotel residencies as well as fronting live bands for a range of functions and corporate events.

She has also performed as a vocalist with many original bands in venues in and around London as well as festivals across the country.


Claire - Lead Vocals

Jazz specialist Claire Row, is the harmony queen of the band and can sing a harmony to anything! Whilst studying for her degree in Popular Music she has been involved in an eclectic mix of projects involving singing at many jazz venues and both writing and performing backing vocals for original unsigned artists and function bands. She has performed with a variety of artists up and down the country in a range of venues including a festival last summer.


Harrison - Guitar

Harrison has spent the majority of his time as a musician in function bands playing up and down the UK. The London based guitarist has had experience in theatre productions, and gigging in a variety of different venues in and around London and has recently been working in the studio with an up and coming recording artist. Harrison studied various styles of music at Brooklands College in Surrey and later, went on to complete a Degree in Popular Music at Tech Music School in West London.


Noah - Bass

Holding down the low end of the band, Noah Nelson keeps the groove in check while never missing a beat. At just 20 years old, Noah has already toured both the United States and the United Kingdom playing electric bass. While currently finishing his final year of university to receive a Bachelors degree in Popular Music Performance, Noah keeps busy playing a diverse range of music in both originals and cover bands, in addition to teaching and composing.


Mark - Drums

Keeping things funky at the back is Mark Rayner. Mark has a wealth of experience as a touring musician and drum tutor. Having toured with the likes of Trashlight Vision, The Funktion, Josephine and the Artisans and Sam Sullivan, Mark shows a diverse yet stylistic approach to the drum-set. Up until 2011, Mark had been working predominantly in the North East of England as head of drums and percussion for Evolution Music as well as samba workshop leader and drum tutor for ‘The Beat It Project’ before moving to London in 2011. Whilst in London, Mark continues to work as a musician and producer alongside finishing his Bachelor Degree in Popular Music Performance at Tech Music School.


Pete - Keyboards

Pete is a keyboard player from Watford. He was born in Hillingdon, and grew up in Uxbridge. He has a BA(Hons) in music from Leeds University, where he majored in music technology. He's worked with a number of artists on London's unsigned circuit, including Tara London, Gemma Mewse, and Coree Richards. He also plays in a number of function bands who gig regularly in and around London as well as up and down the country.
